Client Area – Documentation

1) General
  • Features : toggle enable or disable a feature. If a feature disable, admin menu, frontend menu and settings tab will be hide. Team, Messaging and Notifications are PRO features.
  • Shortcodes : [ client_area ] shortcode integrate all features. But if you want separate on differents pages you can use dedicate shortcode.
2) Files
  • Authorized visibility by role (PRO) : if enable, when you upload a file on admin side you can choose this visibility option (ex: upload a file for all ‘subscribers’ or ‘customers’).
  • Allowed file extensions : allow or restrict staff upload type of files. Video files can be allowed in PRO version.
  • Maximum file size (MB) : restrict staff upload files size. Max size depend on server PHP configuration and/or wordpress settings.
  • Latest upload limit : restrict number of last files listed in the “Files” page for the staff only.
  • File categories : you can create different categories for files. Staff will be able to choose a category when upload a file. This categories will be visible in frontend.

Notice : Files can’t be upload to Staff and Admin members.

3) Users
  • Groups : You can create differents groups to separate users and upload files to a specific group (ex: VIP…etc..)
4) Team (PRO)
  • Team : search a wordpress user to add it to your team. He will have custom ‘staff’ wordpress role. Staff member have limited access to admin pages but can manage Clients, Files, Messaging and Notifications depend of the department he was assigned.
  • Departments : Create departements to separate the features your team member will have access. (Default department can access all features). Moreover, conversation topics can be assigned to specific departments.

Notice : All staff members can access Clients page.

5) Messaging (PRO)
  • Authorize attachments : you can enable or disable attachments for the Messaging feature. This will influence staff side and client side.
  • Allowed file extensions : allow or restrict staff and client upload type of files.
  • Maximum file size (MB) : restrict staff and client upload files size. Max size depend on server PHP configuration and/or wordpress settings.
  • Maximum attachments per conversation : restrict staff and client maximum upload files per conversation.
  • Nb. conversations per page : limit number of conversations display in one time on the page for staff and client.
  • Subjects : you can create conversation subjects for conversations that the client can choose when creating a new conversation. You can also assign a subject to a department that will be the only one to receive these messages. A department will have the option to transfer a conversation to another department.
6) Notifications (PRO)
  • Auto-delete notifications from database after :  to keep clean database you choose the time in days, after which notifications will be completely deleted.
  • Files / send a notification to the Client when a file is upload only for him : enable to send a notification when a file was uploaded only for one client (not group or role).
  • Files / send a email to the Client when a file is upload only for him : enable to send an email when a file was uploaded only for one client (not group or role).
  • Messaging / Send an email to the Client if he receive a message or reply from the admin/staff : enable to send an email when a conversation is created for a client or staff answered client conversation.
  • Messaging / Send an email to Admin if a Client send a message or reply : enable to send an email when a conversation is created by a client or he answered a conversation (only admin and not staff).
  • Messaging / Send an email to all members of Department staff if a Client send a message or reply : enable to send an email when a conversation is created by a client or he answered a conversation (only for department member staff).
  • Messaging / Send an email to all members of Department staff if a conversation is transfered to another department : enable to send an email when a conversation was transfered to an other departmeent (only for department member staff).
7) Frontend
  • Dashboard / Welcome message : choose default message or custom one. Custom message allow HTML code and Shortcodes.
  • Dashboard / Client verified status : if enable Client will see on is dashboard ‘Unverified’ or ‘Verified’ badge under is name. Staff will be able to manually set this status in Client page.
  • Dashboard / Add WooCommerce entries to the dashboard : if enable, Client will see all Woocommerce entries directly in his dashboard and can manage settings.
  • Dashboard / Add custom registration fields to default WordPress form : if enable, settings fields and custom fields will be also visible on the default wordpress registration page in addition to our own registration form in [ client_area ] and [ client_area_registration ].
  • Menu & Content : you can create custom menu and content (HTML and Shortcodes allowed) directly visible in frontend. You can assign menu to a specific user, a group or a wordpress role (PRO)
  • Settings menu / Fixed fields : you can enable or disable defined fields visible in frontend in the Settings client page. You can also set them ‘required’ or visible in registration form.
  • Settings menu / Custom tabs (PRO) : you can create custom tabs in the client Settings page.
  • Settings menu / Custom fields (PRO) : you can create custom fields and associate them to a tab in the client Settings page. This fields can also be add in registration form.

Notice : All enable settings fields (fixed, custom) are visible in the ‘Clients’ page on admin/staff side.

8) Style (PRO)
  • Style : you can enable plugin style (css) or disable  it to use your own code / theme one.
  • Reset : restore plugin default style settings.
  • Accent color : main color in frontend like save buttons and active tabs.
  • Info, success, warning, danger, outline colors : specific colors depend on actions (same use for notifications)
  • Button border-radius : influence button corner (rounded)
  • Card border-radius : influence card corner (rounded)
  • Card shadow : influence card shadow (flat effect)
  • Messaging / bubbles colors : change conversations frontend bubble colors to match your theme.
9) Advanced
  • Debug : logs to send to support for debugging help (wordpress, theme, plugins informations…no sensitives datas)
  • Uninstall / Remove all plugin tables and data on uninstall : to clean your wordpress install if you don’t want use our plugin anymore or start from scratch.
  • Uninstall / Delete all clients files on uninstall : delete also all files uploads (not users accounts).
Clients
  • Search : you can search for all WordPress accounts except administrator and staff accounts. You can search by nickname / first name / last name / email. Search start with only 2 characters and will display list of matching accounts. Just select one and click ‘Load’ button.
  • Status : staff can manually set client status as ‘Verified’ or ‘Unverified’ (if option enable in settings) after checking informations. More features related with the status will be release soon…
  • Groups : if custom groups are created, staff can set client group(s) directly here.
  • Files : staff can view and modify all files associated with this client (not group files).
Files
  • Add files : staff can add share files and set visibility to a unique user, one or more groups or by wordpress role (PRO). Team can also choose a category for files if some have been created. Multiples files can be upload at once.
  • Search files : staff can search uploaded files by name, extension, group, role (PRO).
  • Latest upload : this is quick access to last uploaded files (in case of error or to check…etc…). Number of items display here depend of Settings option.
Messaging (PRO)
  • Inbox : you can see here by default all OPEN and PENDING conversations. You can filter on the top for more flexibility.
  • New conversation : staff can create new conversation with a specific user or target a group (A group conversation will create as many conversations as there are members in the group. Each client will only see their own conversation).
  • View : when clicking VIEW button you can access conversation details and be able to reply and/or send attachments (if option enable). You have a quick access to client information page at the top.
  • Transfer : Staff can also transfert conversation to another department (after this they will not be able to see it anymore). This can be usefull for example if you have different levels of support.
  • Close : Staff can close a conversation, but after this no one will be able to reopen the conversation, whether on the staff or client side.
Notifications (PRO)
  • General : notifications appear in frontend in the ‘Bell’ icon. Client will be able to ‘Mark as read’ one or all notifications, then notification will be deleted. All notifications will expire after a define time. Client can se time since the notification have been publish.
  • Auto : some notifications can be automatic if eanble in Settings ‘Notifications’ options. For example when upload a file…
  • Target : staff can create notifications for a specific user, a group or all wordpress accounts (except Admin and Staff). 
  • Expiry : you can choose specific expiry delay for your notification. The maximum time can be set in Settings ‘Notifications’ options (to keep clean database).
  • Style : they are 5 differents style : Succes, Info, Warning, Danger, Outline. Colors can be change in ‘Style’ settings. You can choose specific icon for your notification.
  • Description : this is the content of the notification. You can use some html code like : bold, italic and url.
  • Existing notifications : you check here all active notifications, details and can edit if need.
